WV Living appoint contractor to build homes on next site

City of Wolverhampton Council’s wholly owned housing development company, WV Living, has appointed a contractor to develop homes on its next site.

Willenhall based W13 Ltd has been selected to build 34 homes at ‘Pear Tree Lane’, formerly Coseley Swimming Baths.

Work is due to start Spring 2024 with all work completed by Autumn 2025. The development site will include a mixture of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom houses.

The development site is situated on Pear Tree Lane, Coseley, and is the first development for WV Living to be located just over the Wolverhampton border.

Councillor Steve Evans, Council Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Housing, said: “WV Living, renowned for its high quality and beautifully designed houses, is taking another positive step forward with this new development.

“As part of our commitment to delivering much needed housing, we continue to support the overall house building programme in the City of Wolverhampton. Crossing the border for the first time, we remain steadfast in our ambition to create new homes that people will cherish.

“We’re thrilled to welcome W13 Ltd on board, confident that they will produce homes to a standard befitting of our exciting new development."

Sally Saunders, Managing Director at WV Living, said: “I am thrilled to announce our latest development site. Pear Tree Lane is not merely about constructing buildings; it's about building futures.

“By providing quality homes, we are enabling local individuals and families to realise their dreams of homeownership, fostering vibrant communities where residents can thrive.

“Our commitment extends beyond bricks and mortar; it's about creating opportunities, nurturing aspirations, and ultimately, enriching lives."

Tony Sadla, Remediation & Land Director at W13 Ltd, said: "We're excited to be working with WV Living on revitalising this brownfield site and redefining the urban landscape. By becoming part of this project, we’re not just witnessing change – but actively shaping it.

“We’re very much looking forward to breathing new life into neglected spaces, and paving the way for a brighter, more sustainable future."

Homes on the development will be fitted with electric vehicle charging points.

To register an interest in the homes at Pear Tree Lane, customers are invited to complete their details on the WV Living website.
